ID 2: STONE ISLAND DUAL LAYER HAND PAINTED CAMOUFLAGE RASO GOMMATO FIELD JACKET

The autumn winter 2008 Raso Hand Painted Camoflage Field Jacket. This elusive piece is constructed from one of the definitive Stone Island fabrics. Starting off with a military grade cotton satin weave, it is then bonded with a polyurethane cover that makes the fabric both water and wind resistant, it is then faded in selected areas with a corrosive paste. The hand painted process is inspired by World War One camouflage also polluting the Stone Island badge on the left sleeve. This extraordinary manual procedure makes each piece unique and unrepeatable. Furthermore this field jacket is fitted with a detachable quilted nylon liner, which is held in using a sailing Dutch rope system.
